About Linse:

Hello, my name is Linse Meadows. I currently distribute magazines for 5 companies. You can check out some of the magazine companies I distribute for and my distribution website at www.htowndistribution.com.

I got started with Resale Houston Magazine and Resale Houston Website when Hurricane Katrina first hit. I had started working for FEMA at the Disaster Recovery Center and I was looking for resale shops to consign my clothes, purses, and shoes since I no longer would continue selling on EBay.

When Hurricane Katrina hit I was volunteering at a church where some of the Survivors were staying at a shelter. There was a lady that was recruiting people to go down to the Astrodome the next day to do Data Entry so that the survivors could find loved ones & start filing for FEMA. I started working 12 hours a day 7 days a week, so I decided to give up my business on eBay.

So about a month after I had been working for FEMA I came home from work & decided that I really needed to get rid of all the purses & shoes & clothes that I was selling on eBay because it was taking up too much room. I knew it would be a long time until I would have the time to sell my stuff. So anyway- I started looking on the internet for resale shops that I could take my stuff to. I couldn’t believe how many resale shops there were in Houston. But about 90 percent of the 250 shops that I called had the wrong numbers or wrong addresses. I also didn’t know which shops would take purses, shoes, or the type of clothes that I was trying to resale. I didn’t know which shops were just donations only or consignment shops.

I ended up donating all of my brand new purses & shoes to Katy Christian Ministries because I knew that I couldn’t go wrong by donating. After that experience I decided that I wanted to make it easier for Houstonians as well as myself to be able to consign & resale shop much easier & much more conveniently.

So with saying all of this, the purpose of this website and magazine is to make it much easier for the people of Houston & surrounding towns to be able to consign our clothes, furniture, antiques, etc… at the appropriate places that are closest to us. ResaleHouston.com makes it easy for us to find resale shops in our area that we would like to shop before leaving the house, instead of driving around aimlessly to find a good deal.
